DR30 Conviction
A DR30 endorsement is issued if you have been convicted of driving or attempting to drive, then failing to provide specimen for analysis. This can make things more difficult when trying to obtain an insurance quote.
At Peart Performance Marque we specialise in providing DR30 car insurance for those with a conviction. Our professionals have access to a large panel of insurers who can help.

What is a DR30 Conviction?
If you fail to supply specimen without a reasonable excuse when you are stopped on suspicion of driving under the influence, you will receive a DR30 conviction. Specimen can be in the form of a breath, blood, or urine test. With a DR30 endorsement, it will be more difficult to get back on the road.
Your DR30 conviction will remain on your driver’s licence for 11 years from the date of conviction. Additionally, you will receive between 3 and 11 points on your licence. There are only certain circumstances that a judge will consider as a ‘reasonable excuse’*. This includes:
- A medical condition such as a respiratory issue that would affect your ability to provide
- A mental health condition such as anxiety
- A genuine phobia of needles
*The following examples would have to be supported by medical evidence.

How Can We Help?
Motor offences involving drink or drugs result in higher insurance premiums. At Peart Performance Marque, we can find you the right policy from one of our specialist providers.
It is important that you disclose any convictions when looking for car insurance. If you fail to do so, you are breaking the law and your insurance will become invalid. Furthermore, if you are stopped by the police, you will receive an immediate driving ban. This will make it even more difficult to find any future insurers willing to cover you.
